The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca – HUB UTCN is located at the heart of the city. The venue is equipped with the latest technological equipment to provide the best service to both organizers and participants.

Due to its strategic position, equidistant from Bucharest and Budapest, alongside its economic conditions, Cluj-Napoca is conveniently accessible through various transportation methods:

By plane

Cluj-Napoca International Airport is situated 8 km from the downtown area, providing regular direct flights to numerous domestic and international destinations.

Connections from Cluj-Napoca International Airport to the city center include:

  • Bus number A1E (trip duration: approximately 26 minutes from the Airport to Cluj-Napoca city center), operating Monday to Friday from 04:30 to 24:00 (with a 10-minute wait time), Saturday from 04:30 to 24:00 (20-minute wait time), and Sunday from 04:30 to 24:00 (20-minute wait time). Additional buses, numbers 5 and 8, also serve the airport but have shorter hours. For full details, see the CTP airport schedule. A single journey costs 3 RON (0. 6€). Ticket machines are available at many bus stations, SMS payment options exist, and fares can typically be settled using credit cards (contactless) at the POS terminals on buses. Refer to the CTP fare information for purchasing options.
  • Taxi rides (trip duration: approximately 20 minutes from Airport to Cluj-Napoca center) generally cost around 50 RON (10€). Ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are also available, costing between 30 and 60 RON (6-12€).

For those lacking direct flights to or from Cluj-Napoca International Airport, Bucharest and Budapest international airports offer alternative options, with connections via air, train, car, or bus linking these European capitals to Cluj-Napoca.
